The position requires excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, along with the ability to support the F&B experience at PSSC. This is a full-time position required to work at the property. This position requires non-traditional working hours which includes working nights and weekends and holidays.
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team and deliver exceptional service and memorable experiences to our patrons. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, while maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar area. Your ability to multitask, provide excellent customer service, and showcase your creativity through mixology will be crucial in this role.
Responsibilities: 1. Beverage Preparation and Service:
Prepare and serve a diverse selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes, standards, and customer preferences.
Utilize your knowledge of various cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers to make recommendations and guide customers in their drink selections.
Ensure accuracy in measuring ingredients and follow proper pouring techniques to maintain consistency and quality.
2. Customer Service:
Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers by providing outstanding service.
Greet customers, take orders, and engage in conversations to understand their preferences and suggest suitable drink options.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
Monitor customer behavior and alcohol consumption to prevent over-intoxication and maintain a safe environment.
3. Bar Operations and Maintenance:
Set up and maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies, glassware, and garnishes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to proper sanitation practices.
Operate and maintain bar equipment, such as shakers, blenders, and cash registers, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and maintain an organized cash register.
Menu Development and Creativity:
Stay updated on the latest trends in mixology, new beverages, and drink recipes.
Demonstrate creativity and innovation by developing signature cocktails and introducing seasonal drinks to the menu.
Collaborate with the management team to create and update drink menus, considering customer preferences and market trends.
5. Teamwork and Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with the bar staff, kitchen team, and other personnel to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer experiences.
Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and management, sharing relevant information and addressing any issues that arise.
Qualifications: Proven work experience as a Bartender or similar role, demonstrating knowledge of various beverages and mixing techniques.
In-depth understanding of drink recipes, garnishes, and presentation.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with a diverse range of individuals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink costs.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to adhere to them.
Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a busy environment.
Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or equivalent) is preferred.
