Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Stores Buyer to join our team at Kruger Products. As a Stores Buyer, you will play a crucial role in controlling the procurement of MRO parts, materials, and services to support our mill operations.



Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the purchasing of MRO parts, materials, and items for mill operations
• Participate in corporate Market Basket negotiations
• Identify and evaluate new supply sources
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal cost, service, and value
• Ensure efficient and strategically-timed deliveries to the plant site
• Communicate effectively with suppliers to facilitate on-time delivery
• Identify areas for continuous improvement in Stores and Purchasing groups
• Monitor documentation as per company policies and procedures
• Analyze vendor data for assigned commodities
• Recommend product alternatives to ensure quality, availability, and cost efficiency
• Implement Kruger environmental policy in daily tasks

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
• 3-5 years of demonstrated work experience in procurement within the manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of buying, pricing structures, quality standards, and supplier performance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Analytical and decision-making capabilities
• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and relevant software
• Experience with effective conflict resolution
