We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, particularly with C corporations and tax returns. This role requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our company's financial stability and growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparation and review of federal and state income taxes for C corporations.
2. Preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.
3. Develop tax strategies to assist the company in being fiscally efficient and compliant.
4. Conduct complex tax research and prepare documentation for ongoing tax projects.
5. Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain accurate financial reports.
6. Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns.
7. Ensure the company meets all corporate tax obligations.
8. Keep abreast of current developments in tax laws and regulations and provide accurate advice to the management on tax-related matters.
9. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
10. Manage and maintain the company's tax database.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
3. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on C corporations and tax returns.
4. Strong understanding of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
5. Familiarity with tax software and MS Office.
6. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
9. Strong knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
