Job Description

Highwire is the Contractor Success Platform for builders and owners of capital projects. We are embarking on an exciting growth phase and looking for the best talent in Boston and Boise.

To support this growth, we're looking for a UX/UI Designer to create seamless and cohesive user experiences and interfaces for our clients. If you're seeking a challenging role that allows you to wear multiple hats in the product design space, this just might be the role for you.

Your mission:

As our third UX hire, you will play a key role in crafting exceptional user experiences and interfaces that ensure brand trust and user clarity. In this highly visible role, you'll partner with product managers, engineers, as well as executives & senior leadership to execute against our ambitious product roadmap.

What you'll do:
  • Build world-class software. Working closely with our Director of Experience Design, you'll wear multiple hats in UX, UI, and product strategy to build exceptional software.

  • Maintain consistent design. You'll ensure consistent experiences across every product area through constant communication, collaboration, and rigorous testing.

  • Improve product adoption, engagement, and retention. You'll impact company growth by relentlessly putting our customer's experience first, ensuring our product is sticky.

Who you are:
  • A versatile designer. You have strong UI design skills, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a knack for gathering and analyzing user data to build functional experiences for users.

  • Execution-focused. You are able to deliver significant design output by balancing research and discovery with agility and quick prototyping.

  • Meticulous. You hold high standards for personal and team performance. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality raises the bar for everyone around you.

  • Business-minded. You understand how SaaS businesses operate and leverage that knowledge to make informed decisions and solve problems.

This is the perfect role for someone with at least a few years of experience designing effective UX and UI for SaaS solutions. You should have expert-level proficiency with industry-standard tools like Figma, Sketch, or InVision (bonus points if you've dabbled in front-end development frameworks like Angular!). If you're equally comfortable interviewing customers as you are pushing that last pixel until it's perfect, we want to meet you.

Benefits:

Our benefits go well beyond the basics. To support your work-life integration, we built a benefits program that takes care of the whole person, including physical, mental, financial, and emotional health.

  • Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance. We offer health, dental, and vision insurance to all full-time employees. Best part? You'll be eligible on day one.
  • 401k. We offer a 401k and a 3% company contribution (even better than a match) to help you get ready to retire no matter how far off that seems.
  • Parental leave. We take care of new parents by offering paid time off for births, adoptions, and fostering.
  • Flexible PTO. Our culture of trust and measurement means there's no limit on time off, just an expectation of performance.
  • Mentorship. Our office-based culture fosters meaningful learning, growth, and mentorship for our team.
